Methodology regarding the automatic recognition by UTCN of the quality of doctoral supervisor obtained abroad*

Through this procedure, teaching positions obtained in an accredited foreign university institution are automatically recognized within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens from EU member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, who have obtained a teaching position in accredited university institutions of EU member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and at prestigious universities from other states included in the "list of prestigious universities from other states" approved by OMENCS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of settling on the territory of Romania. The procedure implements OMENCS 5922/2016 for the approval of the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition, by higher education institutions, of university teaching positions obtained in accredited foreign university institutions.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the teaching position is carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

Fees

The fee for the habilitation exam is 1200 EUR. For UTCN personnel, the fee is 900 EUR.

The registration fee for the competitions for teaching positions is 50 RON.

The processing fee for the admission colloquium for teaching degrees in pre-university education is 50 RON.

Appeal routes

The appeal is submitted to the university. Subsequently, the university's final decision may be challenged in court. The deadline for resolving the recognition file will be 30 days from registration. The decision may be appealed within 24 hours from issuance and will be resolved within 48 hours by the Appeals Committee, comprised of 3 teaching staff members.
