In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives and Nurses of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the professional recognition of Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and nurse in the other EU Member States.

The activities for certifying Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and nurse in the other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 regarding the recognition of professional qualifications, with subsequent amendments and additions.Depending on the case, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for issuing documents necessary for professional recognition of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are sent via PCUe to the county branch/ Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, where the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired the status of member of OAMGMAMR, the request is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or if the file is found to be incomplete, the applicant will be notified via the PCUe system. Within 15 days of notification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all required documents. If the applicant does not respect the completion deadline, upon its expiration, the file will be automatically archived by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the specialized structure level of the OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to applicants via PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where they submitted the electronic file.
