The procedure is described in the Methodology on automatic recognition of the academic positions held in foreign accredited higher education institutions, approved by the Senate of Spiru Haret University by Decision no. 43 of 7 March 2017. It is applicable to the candidates who hold academic positions in accredited higher education institutions from: - European Union Member States; - European Economic Area member states; - Swiss Confederation; - other states included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the Line Minister and undergoing regular updating. Time limit to file a challenge The decision of failure to recognise the academic position can be challenged within 5 days from date of communication. The decision shall be communicated to the person filing the challenge within 5 days from its registration. Means of appeal The decision may be appealed against to the Ministry of Education / National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas / National Council for Certification of Academic Titles, Diplomas and Certificates / competent courts of law from the Romanian territory.
