Necessary documents for the file (in copy): – standard application form – applicants' identity documents; – child’s birth certificate; – as the case may be, marriage certificate or family booklet; – certificate attesting the child’s degree of disability, if applicable; – application approved by the management of the unit for entering child-raising leave; – proof issued by the employer or the competent authorities regarding the income earned; – decision to suspend the individual employment contract for the period of 1 year, 2 years or 3 years in the case of a child with a disability; – in the case of persons who simultaneously earn taxable income from several sources, the child-raising leave and allowance are granted based on supporting documents regarding the suspension of at least one of the activities; – applicant’s tax statement (if applicable); – if the applicant chooses to receive the allowance or incentive in a personal account, a bank statement is required, IBAN account from the bank. If a person is already receiving child-raising allowance and gives birth to another child, a new file is drawn up to extend the leave. If the person on child-raising leave opts for payment of the incentive, a new file is drawn up and an application for the incentive is submitted. Starting from March 1, 2012, at least one month from the total period of child-raising leave is allocated to one of the persons who has not requested this right. Consequently, regardless of the situation, the parent on child-raising leave or on insertion incentive, with the exception of cases for which the applicability of art. 11 of GEO no.111/2010 is not mandatory, will lose one month of entitlement, regardless if it is for allowance or incentive, if the other parent does not access his/her own right to leave. The new regulation applies to children born after March 1, 2012, as it is imposed under the principle that child care responsibility belongs to both parents.*

Necessary documents for the file (in copy): – application completed and signed by the legal representative of the child; – the original and a copy of the child's birth certificate; – the identity document of the legal representative; – documents showing the child's legal situation in relation to the legal representative and any other supporting documents, as applicable; – if the applicant opts to receive the state allowance in a personal account, a bank statement and the IBAN account from the bank are requested.*
