The social service " Day Center for Elderly People" operates in compliance with the provisions of the general framework for the organization and operation of social services regulated by Law no. 292/2011, as amended, Law 17/2000 on social assistance for elderly people, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions.

Applicable minimum quality standard: Order no. 29/2019 for approving Minimum Quality Standards for accrediting social services for elderly people, homeless persons, young people who have left the child protection system and other categories of adults in difficulty, as well as services provided in the community, services provided in an integrated system and social canteens.

The social service " Day Center for Elderly People" is established by HCL no. 25/2022.

The purpose of the social service " Day Center for Elderly People" is to provide social services to elderly people in Dorohoi Municipality, whose needs can be addressed through the activities carried out/services offered, in order to overcome situations of difficulty, prevent and combat the risk of social exclusion, promote social inclusion, and improve quality of life.

The Day Center for Elderly People facilitates and encourages interpersonal connections, including with the families of elderly people. Through the activities it carries out, it allows for the maintenance or improvement of the physical and intellectual capacities of elderly people, and stimulates their participation in social life.
This center supports people of the third age by increasing psychological comfort, engaging them in activities with a recreational and socio-cultural character, as well as developing an attitude of mutual assistance among peers.
