Enrollment in primary education is carried out based on a methodology approved by the Ministry of Education.

Thus, children who turn 6 years old by August 31, 2018, including that date, must be enrolled in the preparatory class, in accordance with the Education Law.

Parents must go to the school inspectorates and educational units, which are required to provide information and counseling regarding the enrollment.

At the headquarters of the inspectorates and educational units, lists of school districts must be posted, and parents must be informed about the content of the educational activities carried out in the preparatory class, the teaching approach, the organization of the school schedule, etc.

Children who turn 6 years old between September 1 – December 31, 2018, including, can be enrolled if their psychosomatic development is appropriate.

All educational units are required to provide information regarding the procedure for enrolling children in primary education, regardless of whether the parents belong or not to the respective district.
