This methodology establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition is carried out, within the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad. The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries, who have obtained the status of doctoral supervisor in accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the “List of prestigious universities from other countries,” approved by gain OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically.

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be challenged by an appeal within 2 days from the announcement of the solution or the recognition certificate. The appeal will be analyzed by an Appeals Commission appointed by the Rector of UAD in Cluj-Napoca. The Appeals Commission will issue a response within 15 days from the receipt of the appeal. If the applicant is not satisfied with the decision of the Appeals Commission, they may address the competent court, Cluj Tribunal, Mixed Administrative and Fiscal Litigation Section, within the legal term of 30 days.
