The "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy from Sibiu recognizes, through this procedure, the doctorate diploma and of PhD. in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad. The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, and nationals of Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, who have obtained the doctorate diploma and the doctoral degree in science or in a professional field, abroad in accredited higher education institutions,in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation and prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states", approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically, with a view to settling on the territory of Romania. The exercise of the rights conferred by the doctoral degree and the holding of a teaching position within the Romanian higher education system are carried out according to the legal norms in force. Appealing procedure The legal challengeis submittedat the academy. Subsequently, the final decision of the Academy can be appealedin court. Appeal routes
The applicant may submit an appeal within 30 working days from the date of notification of the decision of non-recognition, only once.
The appeal is analyzed by the Appeals Committee within 30 working days.
The decision of the Appeals Committee is final and is approved by the Board of Directors and validated by the University Senate.
The decision of the Appeals Committee is communicated to the applicant within 3 working days from the adoption of the resolution by the University Senate.
