Brașov College of Pharmacists*

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, according to the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.

Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits at the headquarters of the territorial College, respectively the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, by which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

The suspension of membership is made when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the territorial College headquarters, namely the Bucharest Pharmacists' College, a request asking for the suspension of membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the dues through the end of the year and must meet the condition of continuous professional training with a number of 40 EFC hours during the respective period.

The pharmacist is obliged to inform the Romanian Pharmacists' College within 30 days of resuming activity.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay the membership fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant.

In the pharmacist record register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint and/or disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 as consolidated, as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in the case of preferences to set up new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for shortlisting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established through the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, a decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of MLay 15, 2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;

- Within maximum three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the drafting and issuing of the document;

- Within maximum 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will draw it up and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a record Register – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and hand them over to applicants against signature upon receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, amounting to 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO75 RNCB 0053 1505 8713 0001.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon making excelent request to this effect, fulfill the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any case of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted practice for more than 5 years or have obtained their license diploma in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college amounting to 208 lei for persons registered within 1 YEAR after graduation and 235 lei for other persons).
