Galați College of Pharmacists*

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists in Galati, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.

The resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Galați College of Pharmacists, through which he/she requests the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

In support of the requests, the documents listed below are attached.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon express request, meet the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted their professional activity for more than 5 years or have obtained their degree in the last 5 years, and have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial Collegium Galați, amounting to 10% of the minimum wage).

The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the College of Pharmacists Galați, a request asking for the suspension of membership status. At the moment of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and fulfill the condition of continuous professional training through a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the dues owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the register of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishingin new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), will apply to the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for drawing up and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, a decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from Park the date of issue;

- Within a maximum of three days from the receipt of the request for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for the preparation and issuance of the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the request, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will draw up a Registry - with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from that county - and will hand them over to the applicants under signature of receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid to the account of the territorial College.
