Operational procedure for obtaining the certificate of professional maternal assistant*
The professional foster care assistant is the natural person, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who provides, through the activity carried out at their home, the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children placed in foster care. Conditions for obtaining the professional foster care assistant certificate:
For a person to receive the certificate of professional foster care assistant, they must:
• have full legal capacity;
• by their behavior in society, state of health and psychological profile, provide guarantees for the correct fulfillment of the obligations incumbent upon a parent regarding the upbringing, care, and education of their children;
• have the use of a home that covers the necessities for food preparation, hygiene, education, and rest for its users, including the children who are to be taken into foster care;
• attend professional training courses organized by D.G.A.S.P.C Ialomița
Cannot be a foster care assistant:
• a person who has been convicted by final court decision for intentionally committing a crime;
• a person suffering from communicable diseases;
• a parent deprived of parental rights;
Persons domiciled in Ialomița County, interested in becoming a professional foster care assistant, must submit to the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Ialomița an application for evaluation of their capacity, accompanied by the documents listed below.
The certificate is issued by the Child Protection Commission Ialomița and is valid for 3 years.
