Pharmacists' College Vaslui*

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation to the headquarters of the Vaslui College of Pharmacists, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents listed below.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 from 15.05.2007.

Below, we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for the preparation and issuance of the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania which will prepare and forward it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with identifying data for the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them over to applicants with signature upon receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the Vaslui College of Pharmacists, RO93BRDE380SV08609183800 or at the College headquarters based on receipt.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the Vaslui College of Pharmacists a file containing the documents attached below.

The suspension of membership is made when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Vaslui College of Pharmacists a request by which they ask for the suspension of their membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must meet the requirement of continuing professional training by completing 40 EFC hours during that period.

The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the dues owed to the college from which they wish to depart. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacists’ registry (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If, at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, a complaint has been registered against him or disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint, or the disciplinary file, will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Resumption of membership is done based on a request that the applicant, the pharmacist, submits at the headquarters of the Vaslui College of Pharmacists, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

In support of the request, the documents listed below are attached.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee of 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR after graduation and 235 lei for the rest of the persons, and have submitted all the necessary documentation to the headquarters of the territorial college.
