Technical University of Cluj-Napoca*

Through this procedure, teaching positions obtained in an accredited foreign university institution are automatically recognized within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens from EU member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, who have obtained a teaching position in accredited university institutions of EU member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and at prestigious universities from other states included in the "list of prestigious universities from other states" approved by OMENCS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of settling on the territory of Romania. The procedure implements OMENCS 5922/2016 for the approval of the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition, by higher education institutions, of university teaching positions obtained in accredited foreign university institutions.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the teaching position is carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

Fees

The fee for the habilitation exam is 1200 EUR. For UTCN personnel, the fee is 900 EUR.

The registration fee for the competitions for teaching positions is 50 RON.

The processing fee for the admission colloquium for teaching degrees in pre-university education is 50 RON.

Through this methodology, the doctorate diploma and the title of doctor obtained in an accredited higher education institution abroad are automatically recognized within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

The methodology applies to Romanian citizens and citizens of EU member states, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation, who have obtained the doctorate diploma and the title of doctor from higher education institutions accredited by EU member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and from prestigious universities in other countries included in the "list of prestigious universities from other states" approved by OMENCS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically, for the purpose of settling on the territory of Romania. The procedure implements OMENCS no. 5923/2016 for the approval of the Methodology regarding the recognition of the doctorate diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the doctorate diploma and the title of doctor is carried out in accordance with the legal regulations in force.

Fees

The fee for supporting compensatory measures for the recognition of bachelor, master, or postgraduate study documents issued by accredited higher education institutions abroad is 150 RON.

The registration fee for doctoral admission is 150 RON.

The annual tuition fee for tuition imit PhD students enrolled starting with the academic year 2012/2013 is 1000 EUR.

The annual tuition fee for tuition imit PhD students who are employees of UTCN and/or in the national education system/in national research institutions is 500 EUR.

The fee for defending the doctoral thesis for tuition imit PhD students is 1000 EUR.

The annual fee for exceeding the funding period (PhD students admitted on budgeted places who have not accumulated 180 credits during the internship period)—for PhD students admitted after 2011, is 200 EUR.

The fee for the public defense of the thesis outside the funding period (for PhD students admitted on normed places) is 800 EUR for PhD students employed by UTCN and employees of other universities or in the national education/research system, and 1000 EUR for other types of PhD students.
