Request for the current CPC professional certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementing Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist – for those taking over the chief position), will apply to the county guilds to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementing Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist – for those taking over the chief position), will apply to the county guilds to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is required for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, a decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drafted by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial guild where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receipt of the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial guild will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the drafting and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the application, C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial guild;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare and send it to the territorial guild;
- The territorial guild will prepare a Register of Records – containing the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them over to the applicants under signature of receipt.
The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial guild RO45BRDE410SV26208314100.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial guild a file that will include the documents attached below.

Registration in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is to be paid into the territorial college account RO45BRDE410SV26208314100 in the amount of 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for all other persons).

Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits a request at the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, requesting the suspension of membership status. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional training with a total of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
In support of the requests made, the documents listed below are attached.
The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from resuming activity.

Pharmacist transfer*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on an seniors request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, under signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacist registration book (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If, at the level of the college from which the pharmacist is transferring judgment or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the notification or disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Duplicate membership certificate*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit to the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest the complete documentation, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents listed below.

Resumption of membership*
The resumption of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, specifically the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, requesting the resumption of membership starting with a certain date.
