Issuance of duplicate membership certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania and the documents presented below.
Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership takes place when the applicant, the pharmacist, wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time for certain reasons and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Valcea College of Pharmacists, a request through which they ask for the suspension of their membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must meet the continuous professional training requirement through a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from the resumption of activity.
*Enrollment in the Vâlcea College of Pharmacists*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon express request, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not found in any cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college Valcea or at the institution's headquarters in the amount of 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for all other persons).
*Resumption of membership*
Resuming membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the territorial College headquarters, respectively to the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, through which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

*Request for the Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position), must address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country.
The methodology for drawing up and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from receipt of the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for drawing up and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the application, C.F.R. will draw up the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will draw it up and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will draw up a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them over to the applicants with signature on receipt.
