Request for Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008, in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in consent with the establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as the replacement of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), will contact the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is needed by pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from the receipt of the request for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for drafting and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the application, C.F.R. will draw up the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to the pharmacists of the respective county – and will hand them over to the applicants with a proof of receipt signature.
The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, shall be paid into the account of the territorial College RO42BTRL02501205137047XX in accordance with Decision no. 1/21.11.2024 of CFR.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file containing the documents attached below.
*Resumption of membership*
Procedure regarding enrollment in the College of Pharmacists of Romania - College of Pharmacists of Maramures County*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not in any case of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college RO42BTRL02501205137047XX)
*Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Maramures College of Pharmacists, an application requesting the suspension of membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must have fulfilled the condition of continuous professional development with a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period. In support of the requests, the documents listed below are to be attached. The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from the resumption of activity.
*
