Guaranteed Minimum Income*
It is granted to single persons or families with legal residence in Romania if the net monthly income of the single person or family is less than the guaranteed minimum income.
Social assistance is also granted to persons without domicile or residence and without housing who are in need, based on a declaration on their own responsibility that they have not requested social assistance from other town halls.

Family Support Allowance*
The family support allowance is a form of assistance for families with low incomes who are raising and caring for children up to the age of 18.
This allowance is granted to supplement family income with the aim of ensuring better conditions for the upbringing, care, and education of children, as well as to encourage children’s attendance at a form of education.
It is addressed to complementary, single-parent, and consensual families.

Child Raising Allowance/ Insertion Stimulus*
The Child-Raising Allowance is granted to biological parents, adoptive parents, persons to whom children have been entrusted for adoption, legal guardians, or persons who have children in foster care or emergency foster care, with the exception of professional maternal assistants, and who live together with the child or children for whom they are requesting benefits. These persons must have residence in Romania; they must have earned income subject to income tax in a period of 12 months within the last 2 years prior to the birth/adoption/guardianship or placement of the child, or must have been in one or more situations specifically defined by law, or must be attending (without interruption)/ have graduated, full-time courses of pre-university education, including within the "Second Chance" program, or, as the case may be, university education at the level of undergraduate or master's studies, as well as post-university master's education, organized according to the law, in the country or abroad, in a field recognized by the Ministry of Education, with the exception of interruption of courses for medical reasons.
The insertion incentive is a monthly amount paid to parents who decide to resume their professional activity before or after the end of the child-raising leave.

State allowance for children*
The state allowance is granted to children up to the age of 18 who have legal residence in Romania. Young people over 18 years old who are attending high school or vocational education also benefit from the allowance until the completion of their studies.
