Issuance of the Membership Certificate of the Romanian College of Physicians*

- The membership certificate of the College of Physicians of Romania is issued and delivered by the territorial college of the College of Physicians of Romania in whose jurisdiction the applicant physician has, as the case may be, their domicile/residence or place of work/unit where they are to carry out their activity.

- The membership certificate of the College of Physicians of Romania is granted upon request to the persons provided for in art. 376, paragraph (1) of Law no. 95/2006 regarding health care reform, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions, who cumulatively meet the following conditions:

a) hold an official medical qualification, as per art. 377, paragraph (3) of Law no. 95/2006 regarding health care reform, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions;

b) are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law;

c) are medically fit to practice the medical profession;

d) have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years.

Issuance of the Current Professional Certificate*

The issuance of the Current Professional Certificate is based on Decision 14/2018 of the National Council of the Romanian College of Physicians.

The current professional certificate is issued by the Romanian College of Physicians, through the territorial college of the C.M.R. of which the physician is or was a member, the data being valid for the period in which the physician is or was registered with the respective college.

If the physician was a member of the CMR in two or more territorial colleges, he or she will obtain a current professional certificate from each of these colleges.

For the issuance of the current professional certificate upon request by the titular physician, he or she submits the following documents to the competent territorial college:

a) application – standard form;

b) proof of identity (certified copy "true to the original" of the identity card/passport);

c) proof of payment of the fee into the account of the territorial college issuing the document, the amount being determined at the level of each territorial college by decision of the Council.

The documents may also be sent by postal or courier services, as well as by electronic means with digital signature.

The document will be issued within a maximum of 30 days from the date of submission of the complete documentation.

The current professional certificate is valid for a period of 3 months from the date of issuance.
