PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION FOR PCUe

In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the Romanian qualifications of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant, in the other EU Member States.

The activities for certifying Romanian qualifications as general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in the other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU member states, states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation, for the professional recognition of these qualifications according to the procedures prescribed by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of September 7, 2005 regarding the recognition of professional qualifications, with subsequent amendments and additions. Depending on the case, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for issuing the documents necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the aforementioned Romanian qualifications, accompanied by the relevant documents, are submitted via PCUe to the county branch / Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, to which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired member status of OAMGMAMR, the request is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch within whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days of the notification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all required documents. If the applicant does not meet the completion deadline, upon its expiration, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the specialized structure of OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to applicants via PCUe by the OAMGMAMR county branch where they have submitted the electronic file.
