Procedure regarding the recognition by UMFST G.E.Palade Tg. Mureş of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation, obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries, who hold the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad.
George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș automatically recognizes the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation for applicants who have obtained this status:
a. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation
b. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states (https://cnred.edu.ro/ro/universitati-de-top), approved by in an Order of the Minister of National Education, updated periodically;
c. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions that are the subject of an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.
Applicants who do not fit into any of the situations provided for in points a., b., c., shall address the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) within the competent ministry.
The recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor and occupying a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out in accordance with OMECTS no. 5921/06.12.2016 and the legal norms in shown in force.
The recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation in accordance with this procedure is valid and produces legal effects at the level of UMFST G.E. Palade Tg. Mureș.
The recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation by CNRED is valid and produces legal effects throughout the territory of Romania.
The time limit for resolution of the recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad is a maximum of 30 working days from the date of submission of the documents and registration of the application.
For the analysis of the files, a processing fee set annually by the University Senate will be charged.
Procedure regarding the automatic recognition, by UMFST G.E. Palade Tg. Mures, of academic teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries who hold academic positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad. The "George Emil Palade" University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș automatically recognizes the academic positions of applicants who have obtained these positions: a. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation; b. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries (https://cnred.edu.ro/ro/universitati-de-top), approved by Order of the Minister of National Education, updated periodically; c. in accredited higher education or research and development present in the subject of international conventions for mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level. Occupying an academic position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force. It is not equivalent to occupying a teaching and research position within the university, for this purpose the provisions of the Methodology for occupying teaching and research positions are valid. UMFST G.E. Palade Tg. Mureș consults, if necessary, the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of during (CNRED) and the National Council for Attestation of Titles, Diplomas, and University Certificates (CNADTCU). Recognition of the academic position obtained abroad, in accordance with this procedure, is valid and produces legal effects at the level of UMFST G.E. Palade Tg. Mureș. Recognition of the academic position by CNRED is valid and produces legal effects throughout the territory of Romania. The duration for resolving the recognition of academic positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad is a maximum of 30 working days from the date of submission of the documents and registration of the application. For the analysis of the files, a processing fee established annually by the University Senate will be charged.
*Procedure regarding the recognition by UMFST G.E. Palade Tg.Mureș of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
The provisions of this procedure apply to holders of doctoral diplomas in sciences or in a professional field, obtained in accredited higher education or research and development institutions.
UMFST G.E. Palade Tg. Mures recognizes the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained:
a. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and from the Swiss Confederation;
b. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states (https://cnred.edu.ro/ro/universitati-de-top), approved by ministerial order of the Minister of Education, updated periodically;
c. in accredited higher education or research and development institutions that are subject to an international reciprocal recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level. The National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas, hereinafter called CNRED, recognizes the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained in accredited higher education or research and development institutions from abroad, other than those provided above at points a., b., c. The recognition of the diploma by CNRED is valid and produces legal effects throughout the territory of Romania.
The recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences by UMFST G.E. Palade Tg. Mureș is valid and produces legal effects only within the institution. This is done solely for the purpose of enrollment in postgraduate programs, obtaining the habilitation certificate, or occupying a teaching or research position within our institution. The processing time for the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in otherwise professional fields obtained abroad is a maximum of 30 working days from the date of submission of documents and registration of the application.
For the file analysis, a processing fee will be charged as set annually by the University Senate.
