Registration of audit firms as CAFR members*
Audit firms authorized under the provisions of Law no. 162/2017 and the regulations of the Authority for Public Oversight of the Statutory Audit Activity (ASPAAS) may carry out financial audit activities provided in art. 3 paragraphs (3) and (4) of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 75/1999 only after registering as a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR).
*Registration of financial auditors as CAFR members – natural persons*
Individuals who have been authorized as financial auditors in Romania, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, may perform financial audit activities only after registering as a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR) according to the provisions of art. 26, para. (2), (5), (6) and (7) of the CAFR Organization and Functioning Regulations, approved by CAFR Conference Decision no. 2/2018 (“ROF”).
