Duplicate member certificate*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation to the headquarters of the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, according to the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.
*Request for the Current Professional Certificate*
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of new pharmaceutical unit establishments, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, and revised by Decision no.1 of 15.09.2023.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of 3 days from receipt of the request to issue the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard request for preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 10 days from receipt of the request, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania which will create it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them to the applicants with a receipt signature.
In order to obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file which will include the documents attached below.
Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership status is carried out when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, a request in which they request the suspension of membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have the membership fee paid up to the end of the year.
Pharmacist transfer request*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay in full any outstanding dues to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed to the applicant, with signature. In the record register of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be specified. If a notification has been filed or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated against the pharmacist at the college from which the transfer is being made, the notification and/or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.
*Enrollment in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree within the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is to be paid into the territorial college’s account RO35UGBI0000252015519RON in the amount of 10% of the minimum wage at the time of registration, according to CFR Decision no.2 of 15.06.2009). https://www.colegfarmtl.ro/
Resumption of membership*
Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits at the headquarters of the territorial College, respectively the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, through which he/she requests the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.
