Procedure for recognition of teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
- The procedure applies within the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași, for the recognition of academic positions obtained in accredited foreign higher education institutions.
- Academic positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the "List of prestigious universities from other countries,” approved by order of the relevant Minister and updated periodically, are automatically recognized.
- Academic positions obtained from other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned in paragraph (1) are recognized only on the basis of an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at the intergovernmental or interuniversity level.
- The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from European Union member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries.
- Occupying a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force (Law no. 1/2011 with subsequent amendments and completions).
- The recognition of the academic position according to this procedure is valid and produces legal effects at the level of the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași.

Recognition procedure concerning doctor title obtained abroad (code PO.CSUD.04)
Procedure description
- In order to recognize the title of doctor obtained abroad, the interested person draws up a file that will contain the following documents: the request for recognition, the doctoral diploma and a copy of the doctoral thesis.
- All the documents, scanned in pdf format, after being uploaded to the platform, will be originally submitted to the TUIASI Registry or sent by post, with acknowledgment of receipt, to the address: Blvd Prof. Dimitrie Mangeron no. 67, 700050, Iasi, Romania.
- Afterwards, the file will be submitted to an evaluation commission that draws up an analysis report according to the procedure deadline.
- If necessary, the commission may request additional documents. The analysis report regarding the approval or non-approval of the request for recognition of the diploma, prepared by the commission, is submitted to the TUIASI Senate which issues a Decision which can be appelead take into account the procedure conditions.
- The recognition by the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi of the doctoral diploma and the doctoral degree obtained in abroad is valid and produces legal effects only at the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi level.
- The Senate' decision can be appealed within 30 days from the communication by a reasoned request that is submitted to the University Registry.
- The appeals are resolved within 30 days from the date of registration by an appeals settlement commission consisting of 5 members appointed by the Rector's decision, which is issued within 5 days from the registration of the appeal.
- In case the appeal is submitted before the period of 30 days prior to the beginning of the teaching holiday, the term for solving it is extended from the first day of the academic year. The deadlines for resolving and issuing decisions are calculated from this date.
- The answer to the appeal is communicated directly, by email, or by post by registered letter, with acknowledgment of receipt, to the applicant or the person empowered by it, on the basis of signature and date, by the Rectorate - Doctoral Service.

RECOGNITION PROCEDURE CONCERNING THE DOCTORAL SUPERVISOR POSITION OBTAINED ABROAD (CODE PO.CSUD.03)
Procedure description
- In order to recognize the doctoral supervisor position or of the qualification obtained in abroad, the interested person draws up a file that will contain the following documents: the request for recognition, the identity card and the proof of name change (if applicable), the doctor's diploma, CV, papers list and the proof of the fulfillment, at the date of submission of the file, of the minimum CNATDCU criteria for the field in which the recognition of the doctoral supervisor position is required.
- All the documents must be scanned in pdf format, and after uploading to the platform, will be originally submitted to the TUIASI Registry or sent by post, with acknowledgment of receipt, to the address: Blvd. Dimitrie Mangeron no. 67, 700050, Iasi, Romania.
- Afterwards, the file will be submitted to an evaluation commission that draws up an analysis report take into account the procedure deadline. If necessary, the commission may request additional documents.
- The analysis report regarding the approval or non-approval of the request for recognition of the doctoral supervisor position or of the authority prepared by the commission is submitted to the TUIASI Senate which issues a Decision that can be appealed under the procedure conditions.
- The recognition of the doctoral supervisor position or of the qualification obtained abroad by the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi is valid and produces legal effects only at the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi level.
