Procedure regarding the automatic recognition by the "Mircea cel Bătrân" Naval Academy of teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
This procedure sets out the way in which the automatic recognition by the “Mircea cel Bătrân” Naval Academy is carried out for teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, with respect for the principles of legality, university autonomy, transparency, responsibility, and the current ethical and deontological norms.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and to prestigious universities in other countries included in the “List of prestigious universities from other countries”, approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of settling on the territory of Romania.
Only in the case of temporary practice, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and Art. 296 of the National Education Law no. 1/2011 apply directly:
"(1) Reserved, vacant, or temporarily vacant teaching positions are covered with priority by the tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff, by hourly payment, according to the present law.
(2) The employment of specialists with recognized scientific and professional value in the field, from the country or from abroad, as invited associated teaching staff, is endorsed by the department council and approved by the administration council.”
Occupying a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force.
Procedure regarding the automatic recognition of the doctoral degree and the title of doctor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
This procedure establishes the way in which the "Mircea cel Bătrân" Naval Academy (ANMB) recognizes the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, in compliance with the principle of legality, university autonomy, transparency, responsibility, and the applicable ethical and deontological norms.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens of Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, and universities of prestige from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 4002/2024 and updated periodically, for the purpose of settling on the territory of Romania.
