Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu*

This procedure establishes the manner in which automatic recognition is carried out by Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu for doctoral diplomas and the title of Doctor in Science or in a professional field obtained from educational institutions. The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation who have obtained a doctoral diploma and the title of Doctor from:

- accredited institutions of higher education or research and development in the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;

- accredited institutions of higher education or research and development included in the "List of prestigious universities from other countries," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of establishment on Romanian territory;

- accredited institutions of higher education or research and development that are the subject of an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at the governmental or inter-university level.

Submission of the file:

The recognition file can also be submitted directly by the applicant to the Rector's Office of the University or can be sent by mail to the address: Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu, Bulevardul Republicii no. 1, postal code 210152, Târgu-Jiu, Romania. The file is registered at the University Registry and forwarded for resolution.

This procedure establishes the manner in which Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu automatically recognizes the status of doctoral supervisor obtained from accredited higher education institutions abroad. The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens of Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation who have obtained the status of doctoral supervisor in:

- accredited higher education or research and development institutions from Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;

- accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of settling in Romania;

- accredited higher education or research and development institutions that are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at governmental or interuniversity level.

The recognition file may be submitted directly by the applicant to the Rectorate of the University or can be sent by mail to the address: Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu, Bulevardul Republicii no. 1, postal code 210152, Târgu-Jiu, Romania. The file is registered at the University Registry and forwarded for resolution.

The procedure establishes the method by which the teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited foreign higher education institutions, provided in the appendix to OM 5922/15.12.2016, are automatically recognized by Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu.

The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation who have obtained the teaching position in:

- accredited institutions from the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;

- accredited institutions included in the “List of prestigious universities from other states,” approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of establishment on the territory of Romania;

Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned above are recognized only based on an international bilateral recognition agreement concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

The automatic recognition of teaching positions obtained abroad can intervene in case of participation in a competition for occupying a teaching position, or for other teaching activities carried out within Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu.

Only in the case of temporary exercise, do the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 para. (1) and (2) of Law no. 1 of 2011 of National Education apply directly.

The occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out in accordance with the legal norms in force.
