In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives and Nurses of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the professional recognition of Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and nurse in the other EU Member States.

The activities of attesting Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and nurse in the other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as attestation documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, the states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles in accordance with the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as subsequently amended and supplemented.Where applicable, the attestation documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online applications for the issuance of documents necessary for professional recognition of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are submitted through PCUe to the county branch/ Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, of which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired the status of OAMGMAMR member, the application is submitted online through PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the requested documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from the notification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all the requested documents. If the applicant does not comply with the completion deadline, upon its expiry, the file will be automatically archived by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the specialized structure of OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, they will be sent online to the applicants via PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR to which they submitted the electronic file.
