The certificate of membership of the Romanian College of Physicians is issued and released by the territorial college of the Romanian College of Physicians in whose district the applicant doctor has, as the case may be, his/her domicile/residence or place of work/unit where he/she is to carry out his/her activity.

The certificate of membership of the Romanian College of Physicians is granted upon request, to the persons provided for in art. 376, para. (1) of Law no. 95/2006 on health care reform, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions, who cumulatively meet the following conditions:

a) hold an official qualification in medicine, within the meaning of art. 377, para. (3) of Law no. 95/2006 on health care reform, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions; b) are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law; c) are medically fit to practice the profession of physician; d) have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years.
