This procedure sets out the method for recognizing the title of specialist veterinary doctor, in order to provide a regulated framework for verifying the documents submitted by veterinarians holding such an official title and for issuing the decision recognizing this title.
The College of Veterinary Doctors, as the competent authority for the veterinary profession, recognizes the title of specialist veterinary doctor obtained after graduating from a relevant European College in the respective field.

If the applicant is dissatisfied with the result of the verification, they may appeal this within 30 days from receipt of the notification. For the resolution of the appeals, the Executive Office of the National Council of the College of Veterinary Surgeons will appoint a committee made up of three members who will analyze the matters mentioned in the appeal and will communicate a response to the applicant within a maximum of 15 days from registration. If the applicant is also dissatisfied with the response to the appeal, they may address the competent court.
