General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Arges*

The procedure applies to individuals who request to become professional maternal assistants. The professional maternal assistant is the individual, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who ensures through the activity carried out at their home the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children they receive in placement.

The person requesting to become a professional maternal assistant will submit an application for evaluation of their capacity to DGASPC Argeş. The application will obligatorily mention the number of children for whom the applicant believes they can simultaneously provide optimal care conditions, their age group and gender, availability to care for children with disabilities/handicaps, HIV infected or AIDS patients. The application will include the applicant's Curriculum Vitae as well as the reasons for which they wish to become a professional maternal assistant.
