Automatic recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
Through this procedure, the quality of PhD supervisor obtained at an accredited higher education institution abroad is automatically recognized within the Maritime University of Constanța.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of EU member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and third states, who have obtained the quality of PhD supervisor in accredited higher education institutions in EU member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries provided for in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by the order of the Minister of National Education no. 5462/2018.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant, or temporarily vacant teaching positions are covered with priority by the tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
The exercise of the rights conferred by the quality of PhD supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian education system are carried out according to the legal provisions in force.

Procedure regarding the issuance of the certificate of authenticity in PCUe*
This procedure applies in the case where a graduate requests the issuance of a certificate of authenticity for the endorsement of study documents by the Ministry of Education - CNRED. The certificate of authenticity certifies the authenticity, validity, and correctness of the entries in plainly the study document and the university documents provided in points 2a-g).
Scope of Application
The procedure applies to graduates of the Maritime University of Constanța, long or short cycle university studies, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral studies.
The study documents for which the certificate of authenticity can be requested are the following:
1. Study documents issued by the Maritime University of Constanța,
2. Annexes to the study documents and/or university school documents issued by the Maritime University of Constanța, namely:
a) diploma supplement;
b) transcript of records;
c) school situation;
d) analytical curriculum;
e) certificate regarding schooling/graduation;
f) certificate attesting the status of student;

g) certificate regarding the completion of studies;

Automatic recognition of teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
Through this procedure, only within the Maritime University of Constanta, the teaching positions in university education obtained in accredited institutions abroad by Romanian citizens, citizens of European Union member states, and from the Swiss Confederation and third countries, are automatically recognized at:
a. accredited institutions of higher education from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;
b. prestigious universities from other countries provided in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by the order of the minister of national education no. 5462/2018, and periodically updated;
c. other accredited institutions of higher education from abroad than those mentioned, only based on an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant or temporarily vacant teaching positions are primarily filled by tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
Holding a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force.

Recognition of the doctoral degree and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad*
Through this procedure, only within the Maritime University of Constanța is recognized the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and third states, who have obtained the title of doctor in accredited institutions of university education or research and development from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, in prestigious universities from other states provided in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by the order of the Minister of National Education no. 5462/2018, or who are subject to an international mutual recognition convention concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.
The procedure applies only for enrollment in postgraduate study programs, for obtaining habilitation, for occupying a teaching position or for occupying a research position within the Maritime University of Constanța.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Teaching positions reserved, vacant or temporarily vacant are covered with priority by tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
