Persons interested in obtaining the authorization of sign language submit to commission for authorization established within the Directorate Protection of the Persons with Handicap a file containing the application, a copy of the identity document, the document indicating the training in sign language organized in Romania and , or non-certified translation into Romanian of the document issued in a Member State of the EU or EEA.

The person whose request for extension of the authorization’s validity has been rejected may file an appeal within 15 days, which will be registered at the registry of the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The appeal will be resolved by the president of the Authority within 30 days from the date of its registration.

The president’s decision may be challenged by means of administrative litigation, under common law conditions.
