The economic operator will apply to the territorial unit of the Romanian Bureau of Legal Metrology within whose territorial jurisdiction it is set up, in order to obtain a license for installing measuring instruments. To this purpose, it will submit and register the relevant documentation provided in the Government Decision 1660/2005 on approval of certain legal metrology instructions, with subsequent modifications: I.M.L. 6.05 - Licenses and P.M.L. 6-07-10 License Issuance for installing measuring instruments. Within 30 days after the submission of documentation, the specialists of the Romanian Bureau of Legal Metrology will check on the spot the compliance with the mentioned regulations requirements and issue the license for installing measuring instruments (if they found non-conformities during evaluation, the license for installing measuring instruments will be issued within 60 days at most.)

In accordance with the provisions of art. 30(1) of the legal metrology instructions I.M.L. 6-05 Approvals, approved by the Government Decision no. 1660/2005, with subsequent amendments and completions, any decision to refuse the approval must be properly justified, communicated to the applicant within 10 working days from the date of the decision, and the decision shall specify the applicant's right to appeal to the competent courts, in accordance with the law.
