This methodology establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition, within the "Henri Coandă" Air Force Academy, of teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad is carried out.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries, who have obtained teaching positions in accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the "List of prestigious universities from other countries", approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The profession of doctoral supervisor is found at position no. A.8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*
