According to this procedure, the quality of PhD Supervisor obtained in an accredited higher education institution abroad is automatically recognized within the University of Pite?ti. The procedure applies to the Romanian citizens and to the citizens of the Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation who have obtained the quality of PhD Supervisor in accredited higher education institutions of the Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation and in prestigious universities form other States included in the "List of prestigious universities from other States" approved according to the OMECTS No. 5825/2016 and regularly updated, in order to settle in the territory of Romania. Only in the case of the temporary practice, the provisions of the Law no 200/2004 and of the Article 296 of the Law of National Education No. 1/2011 directly apply: "(1) The reserved, vacant or temporary vacant teaching positions, shall be covered with priority by the tenure teaching staff of the institution or by the associated teaching staff, by hourly pay, according to this law. (2) The employment of specialists of scientific and professional value recognized in the field in the country or abroad, as invited associate teaching staff, shall be endorsed by the council of department and approved by the board of directors." The exercise of the rights granted by the quality of PhD Supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system shall be carried out in accordance with the legal rules in force. Remedies at law : The appeal shall be submitted to the University of Pite?ti, the Doctoral Studies Department within 10 business days. Subsequently, the university's final decision may be appealed to courts.
