Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as it was published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementing Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of the establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges in order to obtain the Current Professional Certificate. Also, this document is required by pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for drawing up and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists from Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;

- Within a maximum of three days from the receipt of the application for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists from Romania for drawing up and issuing the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from the receipt of the application, C.F.R. will draw up the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists from Romania, which will prepare and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from the respective county – and will hand them to the applicants under signature of receipt. The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO13CECEGJ0137RON0124856

For obtaining the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file that will contain the documents attached below.
