Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of setting up new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), must address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is required for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from karma funding the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard request form to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, who will prepare and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of Evidence – with identifying data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from the respective county – and will hand them over to the applicants upon signature of receipt.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file that will include the documents attached below.
