Regulation

This methodology establishes the procedure for the recognition, within Ioan Slavici University of Timișoara, of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad.

Application

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, from the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries, who have obtained the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The profession of teacher is found at position no. A.8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be appealed by filing a complaint within 30 days from the date of confirmation by mail of the receipt of the decision. Subsequently, the final decision of the University may be challenged in the courts of law.
