Methodology regarding the recognition of the diploma and the doctoral title obtained abroad*

This methodology establishes the way in which the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad is carried out within the Romanian-German University of Sibiu.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation and citizens of third countries, who have obtained the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad in accredited higher education institutions from Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the "List of prestigious universities from other countries," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be appealed by submitting a contestation to the university's registry within 10 days of its receipt. Subsequently, the final decision of the university may be challenged at the competent court in the municipality of Sibiu.
