This procedure describes the way in which individuals, citizens of another Member State of the European Union or of the European Economic Area, can request certification based on an exam for the purpose of performing in Romania the activity of energy auditor for buildings AE. The energy auditor for buildings carries out his activity as an independent expert, authorized natural person, or as an employee of a legal person, according to the legislation in force and is obliged to comply with the provisions of the code of conduct of the energy auditor for buildings. The status of energy auditor for buildings is proven by the certificate of attestation issued by the competent authority. The right to practice is proven by the valid ID issued by the competent authority together with the certificate of attestation.

Regulated profession: The profession of certified energy auditor for buildings can be found at position 12 in Annex no. 2 to Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.
