In order to stimulate school attendance, in 2002 the School Supplies Program was launched, which addresses students in public primary and lower secondary education, day courses. At the beginning of each school year, packages with school supplies specific to each class are distributed.

The composition of the school supplies packages that are given to students is established based on the Methodology for applying the provisions of Law no. 126/2002 for the approval of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 33/2001 regarding the granting of school supplies.

The funding request submitted by the Ministry of National Education, at the beginning of September 2017, through the Operational Program for Aid to Disadvantaged Persons (POAD) 2014-2020 was approved. The decision allows, starting with up this school year, the purchase of supplies for preschoolers, as well as the supplementation with coffee packs of the supplies packages provided to students in primary and lower secondary cycles.
