In order to stimulate school attendance, in 2002 the School Supplies Program was launched, addressing students in state education, primary and secondary, day courses. At the beginning of each school year, packages with school supplies specific to each grade are distributed.

The composition of the school supply packages given to students is established based on the Methodology for implementing the provisions of Law no. 126/2002 for the approval of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 33/2001 regarding the provision of school supplies.

Funding request submitted by the Ministry of National Education, at the beginning of September 2017, through the Operational Program for Aiding Disadvantaged People (POAD) 2014-2020 was approved. The decision allows, starting with this school year, the purchase of supplies for preschoolers, namely the supplementation with backpacks of the supply packages given to students in the primary and secondary cycle.
