This procedure establishes the method by which the automatic recognition of teaching positions in higher education, obtained at accredited higher education institutions abroad, as provided in the annex to OM 5922/15.12.2016, is carried out by UMF "Iuliu Hațieganu" Cluj-Napoca.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and third-country citizens who have obtained teaching positions in accredited higher education institutions from the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The teaching profession is found at position no. A.8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*

Appeal routes

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be appealed within 3 (three) days from the date of notification, by means of a reasoned request submitted to the University's Registry. Appeals are resolved within 5 days from registration by the Appeal Resolution Committee appointed by decision of the Rector. Subsequently, the final decision of the university may be challenged in court.
