The family support allowance is a form of aid for low-income families who are raising and caring for children up to 18 years old.
The granting of the family support allowance aims to supplement the incomes of families to provide better conditions for raising and educating children, as well as to encourage school attendance by school-age children in the care of low-income families, in courses of a form of education organized according to the law, pursuant to art.1, para.(2) of Law no. 277/2010 regarding the family support allowance, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions.

In the situation where the applicant is dissatisfied with the method of solving the request, the provisions of Article 41 of Law no. 277/2010 regarding the allowance for family support, with subsequent modifications and completions, are applicable:,, (1) The written provision of the mayor regarding the establishment or rejection of the right to allowance and the decision of the director to recover amounts unduly received may be contested according to the provisions of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with subsequent modifications and completions. (2) Requests, actions and appeals regarding the right to allowance are exempt from stamp duty'.
