The Family Support Allowance is a form of aid for families with low incomes who are raising and caring for children up to the age of 18.
The monthly amount of the allowance is set in relation to the social reference indicator ISR
Conditions for granting
The allowance is granted based on a request and a self-declaration accompanied by supporting documents regarding the family's composition, its income, and, if applicable, regarding the school attendance of the dependent children. The documents are registered at the town hall of the locality where the family has its domicile or residence.
In order to resolve the request for granting the support allowance, a social inquiry will be conducted at the family's domicile or, as the case may be, residence.
The establishment of the right to the allowance and its amount is made by the written order of the mayor, and the right to the allowance is granted starting from the month following the registration of the request.
In order to comply with the conditions for granting the allowance, social inquiries are carried out at intervals of 12 months or whenever necessary.
