According to Article 18* of Law no. 416/2001 with subsequent amendments and additions, and according to Article 28 of Law 277/2010 regarding the family support allowance, the director of the territorial agency requests the municipality in whose territorial area the family resides to verify the situation that led to the registration of unpaid amounts for social assistance and the family support allowance, through a social investigation. The result of the verification is communicated to the territorial agency.
