Persons interested in obtaining the authorization extension of sign language interpreter submit to the commission for authorization established within the Department Protection of the Persons with Handicap a file containing the application, a copy of the identity document (if the civil status has changed), the document indicating the training in sign language for at least 6 months and criminal record.

The person whose request for extension of the authorization validity has been rejected may submit an appeal within 15 days, which is registered at the registry of the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The appeal is resolved by the president of the Authority within 30 days from the date of its registration.
The president's decision may be challenged through administrative litigation, under common law conditions.
