Educational incentives are granted to children from disadvantaged families provided that the following criteria are cumulatively fulfilled:

a) the child is enrolled in a preschool education unit, according to LEN no.1/2011, with subsequent amendments and completions;

b) the monthly income per family member is up to twice the level of the guaranteed minimum income for a single person, provided by Law no. 416/2001 regarding the guaranteed minimum income, with subsequent amendments and completions.

Law no. 248/2015 regarding the stimulation of participation in preschool education by children from disadvantaged families; Government Decision No. 15/2016 for the approval of the Methodological Norms for applying the provisions of Law no. 248/2015 regarding the stimulation of participation in preschool education by children from disadvantaged families and the procedure for granting social vouchers for kindergarten.
