In order to stimulate school attendance, in 2002 the School Supplies Program was launched, which targets students in state primary and secondary education, day classes. At the beginning of each school year, packages with school supplies specific to each grade are distributed.

The composition of the school supply packages provided to students is established based on the Methodology for applying the provisions of Law no. 126/2002 for the approval of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 33/2001 regarding the granting of school supplies.

Funding application submitted by the Ministry of National Education, at the beginning of September 2017, through the Operational Program for Helping Disadvantaged Persons (POAD) 2014-2020, was approved. The decision allows, starting with this school year, the purchase of supplies for according to kindergarten, and supplementing the packages with backpacks for primary and secondary school students.
