Extending the validity of the energy auditor's practice right to buildings

This procedure describes how specialists – natural persons, certified as energy auditors for buildings – can extend the validity of their right to practice. The energy auditor for buildings carries out their activity as an independent expert, authorized natural person, or as an employee of a legal entity, according to the legislation in force, and is obliged to comply with the provisions of the code of conduct of the energy auditor for buildings. The quality of energy auditor for buildings is proven by the certification issued by the competent authority. The right to practice is proven by the valid practice permit, issued by the competent authority together with the certification.

​Regulated profession: The profession of certified energy auditor for buildings can be found at position 12 in Annex no. 2 to Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, as subsequently amended and supplemented.

The decisions regarding the profession of energy auditor for buildings can be challenged before the Romanian administrative courts, in compliance with the material and territorial competence, as well as the deadlines established by art. 7 and art. 10 of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with its subsequent amendments and completions.
