Regulation

The procedure establishes the way in which the automatic recognition is carried out, within the Ioan Slavici University of Timișoara, of the quality of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions from abroad.

Application

The provisions apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation and citizens of third countries, who have obtained the status of doctoral supervisor in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the "List of prestigious universities from other countries," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The profession of doctoral supervisor is found at position no. A.8 from Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 from 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania with subsequent amendments and completions.*

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be challenged by appeal within 30 days from the date of confirmation by mail of receipt of the decision. Subsequently, the final decision of the University may be challenged in court.
